You’ll probably find some hits under the name, but
a quick comparison of the hits with whatever little information he has given you
will almost invariably show that the hits have nothing to do with this guy.
If you get some hits that seem to match you probably won’t
get his address, but you will at least know that he has given you his real name.
If
he’s failed the Google test it’s time for the final fail-safe test,
the Education Test: Simply ask him which college or university he attended. Also,
get the years that he attended – or simply estimate (given his alleged age)
the years that he attended. If he never attended college, we’ll get you the
name of his high school.

university in the United States Simply call the registrar of the school that he
claims to have attended to verify estimated dates of attendance and degree. DO
NOT use an alumni site such as Classmates or Reunion for verification. Profiles
on alumni sites are notoriously unreliable. Neither Classmates nor Reunion verify
the veracity of the profiles written by their subscribers. You
will find most college and university registrars most cooperative and prepared
to give you the necessary information on the telephone. However,
some schools may require that you identify yourself as (say) a prospective employer
in order to get the requested information and that you send in your information
request on your company’s letterhead. This may require
some “social engineering” (read: fibbing) on your part. It’s up
to you, but how hard is it to print out a company letter head? Click

States. If the registrar has no record of him that’s
it! He’s faking his name and everything else! Search no further – He
does NOT exist under that name and further research is fruitless. Time to send
him a nasty little email! Something with a salutation like, “Hi Jerkass”.
