The “goddamned
liar” possibility previously mentioned refers to the possibility that he
hasn’t given you his real name.
Not giving you his real
name doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s a serial rapist. He may just
be a serial liar – not quite as bad, but bad enough.
Or
– Maybe he just wants to get into your pants without his wife finding out.
Who can blame him?
Or -- he may just be a cautious guy, anxious
to cloak his true identity until he finds out more about YOU.
In
either event, it’s imperative that you find out whether or not he’s
given you his real name. If you suspect that he’s given you a phony name,
for whatever reason, your caution antennas should start quivering furiously.
Further
investigation of this guy is, of course, fruitless when you’re dealing with
a phony name. At some point you will just have to tell him that you know that
he’s not given you his real name. Either get it at that time or just drop
him – fast!
The
fail-safe test for determining whether the name is real or not:
Simply
ask him which college or university he attended. Also, get the years that he attended
– or simply estimate (given his alleged age) the years that he attended.
Then

to contact the college or university (NOT an alumni site such as Classmates or
Reunion) and check him out with the school's registrar’s office. If they’ve
never heard of him that’s it! He’s faking his name and everything else!

And
if he does check out? Great! Start checking out everything else about this guy
– his marital status, his occupation, his arrest records, his tax problems,
his legal woes, what other people think about him, everything!
